By now, you know how much I love and adore the Callahan family. So far, Colleen and Hayes have been my favourites, but with Check Swing, I think I might have a new favourite pairing in Sinclair and Frankie.
It’s why you fall in love with Emerson, because this is his redemption story, this is his chance to show the readers and everyone else that he’s not just an addict who found ways to mess everything up for everyone else.
Kelly Siskind not only wrote a book about love, but she wrote a book of poetry to go with it too. She wrote a poetic masterpiece about love, about real life struggles, about family, about choices and about following your heart.
Not only did I fall in love with these beautifully flawed characters, but I am now obsessed with roller derby. To the point where I spent hours last night after finishing the book watching videos on YouTube. Like I said, obsessed.
I just did not expect to have my heart feel this way at the end of it all! Hard to Score covers many of my favourite tropes – sports romance, second chance romance, childhood friends – and K. Bromberg masterfully combines all of this together in one very addictive story.
I loved how quirky and funny this book was, but also had a lot of heart! Stina Lindenblatt is a new to me author, but I enjoyed this one enough that I’m going to put her on my list of authors to check out throughout the course of the year.
It’s heart-wrenching and it digs into your soul. Stealing Home is a book that will make you cry, make you fall in love all over again and make you hurt everywhere. And that’s what makes it such a special book.
Nobody can replace Cory Potter or Carson Stone in my heart, but guys, Holt Green gets really close to taking up another spot. He’s just so gosh darn charming and he’s so beautifully written that you can’t help yourself.
Personal Foul is a light, low angst, fluffy romance. I did go in thinking I’d get lots of conflict and angst, but in a way, it was a nice break from all the other angst I was indulging in.
I’ve been waiting for Noah’s book since we met Ryan and Harper, but I didn’t see this coming. Noah is officially my favourite of the quartet and his story is just so spectacular. I mean, I was obsessed with Jace and Millie, but Noah and Chloe. Oof, brace yourselves.
