I thought Lena Hendrix had smacked me in the feels when I was reading Finding You, but nothing prepared me for the way my heart and soul exploded as I was reading Keeping You. In keeping with Lena’s brand of steam, the second book in the series is also powerful and tackles grief, finding love and yourself in a beautiful way.
This might be the hottest Max Monroe book I’ve read. And I mean…Jude and Sophie might put Thatch and Cassie to shame, which is saying a lot. But good god, the heat is ALL THE WAY UP in this book and I loved every minute of it.
Finding You is an emotional rollercoaster of a romance, and it’s also a wonderful debut by Lena Hendrix. This small town brother’s best friend romance is full of heart, steam and lots of great feels.
Grumpy Cowboy is the third in the Single Dad collection and if you know me at all, know that I love the single parent trope and would read every single book that fulfilled that trope. But they tossed in enemies to lovers, grump and sunshine, cowboy and city girl, slow burning in a small town and even added their famous brand of humour.
This is my first Catherine Cowles book and good lord, it was beautiful. I loved the premise of the book, but I didn’t know what I was going to experience as I went into it. The characters were so well crafted and beautiful, and the story so powerful. I loved every minute of this book because it dug deep into my heart and soul and made me feel so much for these characters.
Adriana Locke’s brand of contemporary romance is totally my thing. She writes interesting and relatable characters, dealing with complicated and heart wrenching issues and struggles, but she also adds her own magic with family love, humour, banter and incredible writing.
One thing you can always be sure to get with a Max Monroe book is the fantastic humour, characters with all kinds of quirky personality traits and just absolutely entertaining relationships.
Kelly Siskind not only wrote a book about love, but she wrote a book of poetry to go with it too. She wrote a poetic masterpiece about love, about real life struggles, about family, about choices and about following your heart.
You know who does small town romances well? Adriana Locke. And with this new series, you know you’re in for a big treat! And when combined with some of the best tropes, Like You Love Me is everything that you could ever ask for.
My god, this book. This duet. This everything. I don’t know if my review will do this book justice, though. And before I get started, please note that you have to read the first part of this duet, because the second book picks up where that one leaves off and there’s a lot of information that you’re going to need going into this gritty romance.
