Much like the first book of the Bower Boys series, this one had me swooning and cheering and laughing and crying all at the same time. Kelly Siskind has a masterful way of writing these kinds of stories, with heroes who have baggage that they struggle to overcome and heroines who are powerful and empathetic at the same time.

Kelly Siskind’s books are always such a fun ride and everything about E (aka Edgar) and Delilah and their second chance romance won me over. From start to finish, this book brought me so much joy. And even more interesting and masterful, if I’m being honest, is the fact that Kelly wrote this book entirely from Edgar’s point of view.
Kelly Siskind not only wrote a book about love, but she wrote a book of poetry to go with it too. She wrote a poetic masterpiece about love, about real life struggles, about family, about choices and about following your heart.
This slow burn, friends to lovers romance has a whole lot of heart, soul and love. I struggled through it at a point, but it’s still an incredible book. Weston and Annie are incredible characters with so much personality that it lights up the book from the first page onwards.
