I didn’t know I needed a gender-flipped The Phantom of the Opera retelling in my life till I was four pages into Jen Comfort’s novel. I’m pretty sure I dreamed about this book when I wasn’t reading it, it completely captivated me from the start.

From the moment this book was announced, I was excited and ready to dive into a whole new Jessica Peterson world. I loved her North Carolina Highlands series and knew that whatever came next would also be truly magical. And she did not disappoint.
If you haven’t read the rest of the Stay a Spell series, then please do that first. They’re so brilliant and wonderful and honestly, Juliette Cross could write a 100 more books in this series and I would be totally fine with it.
I don’t know how Brit Benson does it, but it’s her third book and she had me hooked, laughing out loud and in tears through the course of this story. I have loved these group of friends and their shenanigans.
I love a good sapphic romance as much as the next person and I went into The Romance Recipe blindly because I didn’t want my feelings for the book to be clouded by other people’s feelings and opinions. And I’m glad, because I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

I’m not the biggest fan of Romeo & Juliet when it comes to Shakespeare’s works, but this modern retelling was so wonderful that you forget entirely about the classic that it takes some inspiration from.
This novella is my second Tori Alvarez book and I loved that it was a quick, flirty and hot read. It’s the perfect balance to all the angst and drama I’ve been reading, so it helped clear my mind, but also gave me a much needed boost of steam to keep me going.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Adriana Locke writes the best families ever. Everyone loves the Landry gang and the Gibson group, but now we all also love the Mason family. These five boys and their love for their mother blows my mind!
Hunter has a big city girl meeting a hot as hell cowboy in a small town – so obviously I needed it in my life! A quick read, Hunter is my first Anna Brooks book and I enjoyed it!
