I’m sad that this series is over. As someone who has fallen in love with hockey through this series, I’m gonna miss these guys. But, I’ve also been so greedy for Jana and Kane’s story that to finally have it makes me beyond happy.
one. There were definitely parts that I did like, but there were also some choices that I didn’t.
I was excited about Broody Devil. What I did not expect was for my feelings to be completely shattered, my heart filled and ripped apart and put back together all at the same time. Melissa Ivers basically went all out with this story and delivered something so wonderful, I need more people to read this masterpiece.
Is there a trope that Teagan Hunter can’t write? Because I haven’t found it yet. This might be a new trope for Teagan, but she slayed it and I am still all in my feels. Whenever I pick up a book by Teagan, I end up awake at 2am processing my thoughts about the book because that’s when I usually finish reading it. Her books are best enjoyed in one sitting, no lie. And she knocks it out of the park with One-Timer and the wonderful relationship between Hollis and Lowell.
I never thought I’d meet a hockey hottie that could overthrow Aiden Drake as my favourite Florida Fury player, but Piper Rayne went and created Warner Langley and now Aiden has been demoted to #2. I am loving this series so much and I love that every story not only introduces us to a whole new world of hockey, but it also gives us all of these familiar faces over and over again as we see them become families and so much more.
When you put these two characters together on a drunken night in Vegas, what do you get? A shotgun wedding that turns into a marriage of convenience and a friends to lovers situation that takes something we all know and love so well, but with a spin.
I have a very complicated relationship with this book. I really enjoyed it, but I also didn’t. It’s a weird place to be, so keeping that in mind, I’ll make this a short review.
This best friends to lovers, surprise pregnancy was a breath of fresh air! I absolutely enjoyed watching these two go through the motions of being friends and soon-to-be parents in a completely unique way.
The minute Teagan Hunter announced that she was writing a hockey romance, I told myself that nothing else mattered but this book. And with Puck Shy, she has delivered a wonderful story filled with her signature wit, banter, steam and humour.
Anna B. Doe went and wrote a book featuring two characters of colour AND one of them is a hockey player, while the other is a figure skater. So, obviously I was going to sign up for a chance to read it! Kiss to Defy is the third book in the Blairwood University series and my first book by Anna B. Doe.
