If you’ve read Amy’s Landry Love series, then you’ve already encountered Sawyer Fletcher a few times. As the good guy veterinarian in the small town of Landry, he’s had the attention and affection of The League for years. But after a bunch of failed dates and complicated situations, they’ve backed off. Till they decide to sign him up for their town’s version of The Bachelor. This book had so many laugh out loud moments, but also tons of swoon and let’s not even forget the fact that the good guy has the dirtiest mouth ever!

I think Amy Alves was saving the most emotional of these stories for the end, because there is absolutely nothing in the world that could have prepared me for how much this book made me feel.
When Amy announced The Surprise Seduction, I was salivating at the thought of an age gap and a sibling’s best friend romance that featured everyone’s favourite doctor. I didn’t know what I was getting myself into with this book, but I’d like to say that I am wholly and completely unprepared to write this review, because this book did so much for me, I am speechless. However, I will do my best to articulate my feelings.
If you’ve been reading the Landry Love series from the beginning, then you’ve met Chloe a few times and with the last book, we even got hints of Chloe and Hayden. And I’ve been anxiously waiting to see their story!
After meeting Evan in The Denial Game, I was really excited when Amy announced that the third book in the series would be focused on him. We see the broody and moody bartender, who doesn’t have time for Lauren and her quirks, so to actually see a different side of him and to see what got him to that place was really good.
So then we got The Denial Game, which is just so wonderful. I loved every minute of this story and I absolutely and completely loved Lauren and Taylor. And I loved how we finally got all our questions (yes, I know you had questions too!) about Lauren’s life and why she ended up in Landry answered. Plus, Lauren and Taylor. Guys, this book is funny, sexy, smart and so so hot.
This book had so many of my favourite things – fake dating, small towns, neighbours – and in Amy Alves’ debut, I fell in love with all those three things all over again.
