Indie Support Sunday: Molly McCarthy

  • by annareadshere
  • Posted on 1st May 202225th Feb 2022

Beauty in the Details, her debut, releases May 2nd and is currently available for preorder. With a love for photography and a possible interest in writing women’s fiction, Molly is definitely on her way to big things. With a few more books in this series, I cannot wait to see the awesome things that Molly is about to achieve!

NetGalley Review: “Games in the Ballroom” by Jentry Flint

  • by annareadshere

I don’t have a lot of experience with historical romances, but I’ve always enjoyed the ones I’ve read. And this one is no different. I went into this friends to lovers romance mostly blind and was pleasantly surprised by the way it was written.

Mila’s stories always feature strong women of colour, just like herself, and I love just how complex and interesting these women are. And let’s not forget the swoony men that fall in love with these brilliant women!

An avid Walking Dead fan, Lauren’s books are filled with great friendships, humour and sexy times. Like most of us, she also wrote fanfic first and then ventured into publishing her own books. And, there’s so much more coming from Lauren that’s got me all really excited to see what 2022 has in store for us!

Review: “Falling Embers” by Catherine Cowles

  • by annareadshere
  • Posted on 13th Apr 20229th Apr 2022

Is anybody surprised that Catherine Cowles wrote another brilliant story? I am seriously loving the way this new series is going, because the Easton family and their tragedies, their wins and losses and watching them fall in love is truly something so special.

NetGalley Review: “Find Your Way Home” by Jackie Ashenden

  • by annareadshere
  • Posted on 12th Apr 2022

This is my first book by Jackie Ashenden, but it certainly won’t be my last. I am obsessed with her writing and her storytelling, it’s so immersive and beautiful. I am totally captivated by the visual picture she painted of this small New Zealand town and all I wanted to do was visit this place and never leave.

Review: “Gold Rush” by Jenny Bunting

  • Posted on 12th Apr 20226th Apr 2022

These Finch siblings just keep getting better and better. How is that even possible? I absolutely loved Cameron and Annie in Fool’s Gold and now, Jenny Bunting has given us Reid and Whitney in Gold Rush and I don’t think I have enough words to express just how fantastic this book, these characters and this relationship was.

feel like Book Boyfriend is more a story about friendships and the connections you make with people, about finding your courage and strength and trusting yourself to do something that is scary and terrifying.
