Well, damn. Devney Perry gave Eloise an incredible story! I have loved the youngest sister of the Eden family and her drive to protect and keep the hotel that’s in her name. I always thought of her as the kindest, sweetest, most generous and hardest working person of the Eden family. Then again, they’re all pretty incredible. But we’ve seen how much Eloise has struggled and how she’s fought to come out on top, so to have her story be all kinds of beautiful made me happy. And don’t even get me started on the grump that is Jasper, oof *fans self*

Well, damn. I discovered Jasmin Miller through her Kings of the Water series and fell in love with her stories. So to have Jasmin release a mafia romance and rock my socks off with should have been expected. I don’t read a lot of mafia romances, but I can tell you that I absolutely devoured and loved this one.
As part of the Hot Vegas Nights series of novellas, Melanie A. Smith’s contribution is a fast paced strangers to lovers that I had to force myself to read slowly. Once I met Kira and Sebastian, I didn’t want the story to end! You’d think that because it’s a novella, it wouldn’t be able to cover a lot of things. But it does. Melanie has a great way of telling her stories and giving you just the right amount of information that keeps you hooked and ready for more.
Catherine Cowles’ Tattered & Torn series has me in a chokehold, so you can imagine how desperately I was waiting for Shiloh’s book. And not a single minute of it was disappointing. We’ve been watching quiet and cautious Shiloh slowly find her strength through four books, so to have her be able to tell her story, see her fall in love and find the peace she’s been missing for so long was quite something.
If you asked me who I trust to write gripping romantic suspense and keep me hooked from the get go, I would definitely say Kimberly Kincaid. I may not have read all of her books (or a lot, to be very honest), but the ones I have read have captivated me completely.
I want to start this review by saying that I wept quite a bit through this story. That just goes to show how powerful and beautiful Ava’s writing is too. It’s a marriage in crisis story about two people with broken hearts and broken pasts trying to find their way back to each other.
Oof. This book knocked me on my backside from the minute I started reading! If it wasn’t for the need to sleep, I would have probably just read through the night and sobbed my way through most of it too. I’m still fairly new to Corinne Michaels’ stories, but I am definitely ready to get caught up in more! This one had a great balance of suspense, small towns and a swoony romance.
I’m really excited to have another Kristen Granata book to read after almost a year! And in true Kristen writing, she gave us characters dealing with real life struggles and mental health issues that everyone can relate to.
I love a good romantic suspense like anybody else, but I didn’t know the kind of suspense I was getting myself into with this book. I loved the blurb and I wanted to read it and let me just tell you that I had to force myself to turn off my Kindle and start work today because that’s how desperately I wanted to keep reading this book.
