I don’t have a lot of experience with historical romances, but I’ve always enjoyed the ones I’ve read. And this one is no different. I went into this friends to lovers romance mostly blind and was pleasantly surprised by the way it was written.
Completely told in the form of letters between Gavin Hartford and various members of his family as well as his new friend, Charles Kentworthy, this story will captivate you. And if that’s not enough, there’s a touch of magic that has me so intrigued and excited for more!
I am absolutely obsessed with the way Violet Marsh tells her story. When I read The Aviatrix last year, I was totally sold on the idea of a different kind of historical romance that featured women who went above and beyond what was expected of them in that time period.
I have read and loved all of the books in the Boston Classics series so far and every time Karen announces a new one, I get crazy excited. And when she finally released the title, cover and blurb for Child of Mine, I was beyond stoked!
I think there needs to be a genre that is specifically designated for Kandi Steiner’s books, because this one was absolutely beautiful. Kandi is a master weaver when it comes to telling stories that hook you right from the start and Say Yes was no different.
The Aviatrix was such a treat! It’s a historical romance that is 100% about women empowerment. And Violet Marsh did such a wonderful job crafting this world, the characters and this story.
