This novella is my second Tori Alvarez book and I loved that it was a quick, flirty and hot read. It’s the perfect balance to all the angst and drama I’ve been reading, so it helped clear my mind, but also gave me a much needed boost of steam to keep me going.
Let me start by saying that Nyx and Nate are such incredible characters. I loved Persy and Ford, but Nyx and Nate gave me all the feels. I’m still so overwhelmed by their story, because like the title of the book, I didn’t expect it.
It’s hard not to like Mick. Rockstar name and swimmer’s body included, he’s truly one of my favourite male characters of the year. #BookBoyfriendAlert
Juliana and Harrison have a story that is so timeless, beautiful and absolutely heartwarming. Put this book your on comfort reading list right away!
I absolutely adore friends-to-lovers and the relationship and friendship between Brooke and Dylan was so damn cute.
Rocky is my favourite Max Monroe heroine. Harrison is my favourite Max Monroe hero. Let’s just start with that.
The fifth book in the Slice series, is by far my favourite of them all. Almost as if Hunter kept this for the end, knowing just how much everyone would love Thea and Sully.
The slow burn in this book will set you on fire. It’s insane how two characters who exchange mostly words and frustrations can make you hot under the collar.
