I want to start this review by saying that I wept quite a bit through this story. That just goes to show how powerful and beautiful Ava’s writing is too. It’s a marriage in crisis story about two people with broken hearts and broken pasts trying to find their way back to each other.
Ava Hunter is truly just out there writing heartwrenching stories featuring beautiful characters and a whole lot of suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat. If you’ve read the first two books (and the novella), then you already know enough about Seth and Lacey.
Excuse me, Ava Hunter. How did you manage to make me feel SO MANY THINGS through a novella? Like…what even.
Alabama and Griff’s story is an emotional one; it’s about second chances in love and life, it’s about taking control of your choices and the life that you’ve been given, it’s about loving yourself and the best person you ever knew.
