But when tragedy strikes, Sal is left fighting for her life and everything in it— including her and Luke’s perfect second chance. And Luke will do whatever it takes to find his wife before it’s too late.
Before he loses the one person he can’t live without.
Excuse me, Ava Hunter. How did you manage to make me feel SO MANY THINGS through a novella? Like…what even.
If you’ve read Sing You Home (Ava’s debut), then you’ve already met Sal and Luke. And I would definitely recommend you pick that one up before you dive into this, because there are spoilers for the second book as well as what is to come! Sal and Luke’s first story was heartbreaking, but so beautiful. And now, after everything they’ve been through, there’s still more to get past. Starting with their desire to start a family and being unable to do so. To see these two characters who have gone through an epic healing struggle with something so heartbreaking was difficult, but Ava did such a good job being careful with the subject matter.
“Slay the sun, Luke,” she murmurs.
“I’ll try for you, darlin, but somethin’ makes me think it wants us to have the day.”
Love You Always was such a great conclusion to their story, because the first time around we saw their struggles and their pain. We saw Sal coming to terms with who she is again and Luke getting his wife back, so to have them happy (even if it gets a little messy in between) felt really good! Because it’s an Ava Hunter romantic suspense, you know that it’s going to be nail biting and I loved how intense those scenes were. So brace yourself!
The most important part of this novella is the way Sal and Luke love each other. It’s so beautiful and passionate, it’s deep and heartwarming. I loved the way they talk to each other, the communication and the love they share. Honestly, even the way they look at each other is so special. There’s also this family dinner scene that is both adorable and interesting, because it brings together all of our favourite characters from the series and the relationships between each of them are so different, but so wonderful at the same time.
ALSO, holy smokes, that teaser for book three has me screaming! I’ve always been so curious about Seth and I’ve wanted to know who he really is and with that one chapter, it’s got me excited. It’s also got me worried because what is happening, Ava?!
Thanks to Ava Hunter for generously providing me with an advance copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
