I can’t believe we’ve reached the end of the Palm South University series! Much like a television show, the last few years of reading this series has brought joy to my life. Kandi Steiner created such an incredible world of characters that go through everything you can imagine, but come out strong at the end. The last few books had so much going on, I was terrified that we’d be saying goodbye to all these characters with a broken heart. But, the happy endings made it all worth it. And I can’t even begin to express just how much all of them have grown!

Set at Palm South University and heavily focused on the Greek system (fraternities and sororities), these 7 books follow a group of characters that are growing up right in front of our eyes. The lessons they learn, the struggles they face and the pain that comes with falling in and out of love. I feel like all of us grew up with these characters making them so precious to us in every way. And saying goodbye is hard, but I love how it all came to end.

Erin & Bear. → After wondering if they will or won’t for a couple of books, I’m so happy that we finally get to see them together. At the end of Hazed, we know they finally stopped fighting their feelings and found comfort in each other. Bear has always been Erin’s number one supporter and in this final book, we see just how deeply his feelings for her run. But more than that, we see how far they’ve come. Erin is still fighting the battle against the guys who raped her and Bear is finding that the job he set himself to enjoy may not be the one he wants. And through it all, they’re there for each other and it’s wonderful.

Skyler & Kip. → These two have always been my favourite of the series and I even read Black Number Four because I loved them so much. They’ve been through a lot too, but Kip’s finally got his show off the ground and Skyler is happy for him, except for the star of his show being a bit of a pain in the butt. They’ve always gone hard at everything – falling in love, falling out of love – so everything that transpires in this book should not come as a surprise. But gah, they are still so great together. I love Skyler, she’s my favourite of the girls in this series. And she continues to win my heart every single time.

Ashlei & Brandon. → Ashlei is such a badass and I can’t even put into words just how much I adore her. After watching her go through so much through the books, I was worried about how it would all come to head. Even though I was never sure about her relationship with Brandon, in this book, you can see just how much sense they make together. And you are NOT ready for the amazing stuff that Kandi has in store for them.

Jess, Kade & Jarrett. → My god, this triangle was stressful and angsty. At the end of Hazed, Jess asks both guys to give her some time to figure herself out. She loves them both, but she’s not sure which way her heart truly leans and in order to understand that, she needs to be away from them. I’ve been rooting for Kade from the minute they got together, but Jarrett is hot and dirty and the kind of wildness that Jess enjoys. So, who does she pick?!

Cassie & Adam. → These precious children. They’ve come a long way! Adam’s off working with the fraternity in Denver and Cassie’s finishing out her last year, taking on a Little at KKB and planning her future. But something gets in the way and it’s a little complicated and a lot painful to watch. Brace yourself to have your heart broken before it’s put back together, because these two wouldn’t be who they are without a little mess.

KKB Sisters. → Everyone knows that the best part of this series is the sisterhood. Cassie, Skyler, Erin, Jess and Ashlei are bonded for life and that bond means anytime something happens, they’re there for each other. Including a trip to Mexico that is the perfect escape for everyone and it is absolutely the best time ever!

While I am saying goodbye to these wild kids, I hope that we get to see more of them (or their offspring, yeah?) in future books. Kandi Steiner brought her wonderful combination of laughs, angst and sexiness to all seven books and I cannot wait for everyone to discover the magic of this series!

Thanks to Kandi Steiner & Valentine PR for providing me with an advance copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
