I absolutely and completely love Kandi Steiner’s PSU series. It’s one of the first series that I read of hers and the unique format and style of it was an absolute win for me. I never thought that I’d enjoy something that was written in this style, but can I just say that this is so smart and still gives you the best parts of the story all in one book?!
As always, there’s only so much I can put in a review for a PSU book, because giving you too much takes away from the excitement of the book! But what you definitely need to know up front is that HOLY SHIT SO MUCH HAPPENS THIS TIME AROUND! All the things that we left unsaid in Ritual (PSU #5) comes to head in book six and some of it is good, some of it is sad, but altogether, it’s absolutely fantastic.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, just because these books are set at college doesn’t mean that it’s all fun and games. I love that with every book in the series, Kandi introduces real life problems that these characters have to deal with. There’s lots of relationship drama, trust issues, what is life after college going to be like and so much about friendship and obviously romance. And in true Kandi Steiner fashion, these stories are hot. Make sure your Kindle is leaning against something as you enjoy the steam!
Cassie & Adam. Ugh, these precious babies. I love how much their relationship has grown and how far they’ve come. They’re now both facing the end of their college lives and where does everything take them? There are choices that they need to make and fears they need to face, but I love that all of their drama is behind them. They’ve gone from being the couple that stressed me out to making me so goshdarn happy!
Skyler & Kip. Look, these two are my PSU OTP. I love them so hard and I wish we got another Black Number Four, because having a book dedicated to just them was the highlight of my life. But in Hazed, Kandi puts them through the wringer. Kip is about to start filming his show and Skyler’s completely involved. Except…and seriously guys, brace yourself for his angst. I know there’s one more book coming and I HOPE it all gets resolved, but gah!
Erin & Bear. These two have been through so much. Right from the start, their struggles and their issues were such a big part of what I loved about these books. Bear’s family is finally in one big piece and his feelings for Erin have always been so big. Erin’s struggling with Gavin and guys, I loved them so much in Ritual, but I knew that it was going to be short lived. I’m not going to tell you how or why, but just know that Erin and Bear deserve only good things in life.
Jess & Kade. Ah, these two. In Ritual, we watched Jess teach Kade how to get a woman and how to become this badass and sex god. And at the end, we watched them turn everything into a relationship. And this time around, we get so much more of them and I love it. Sure, there’s all the stress of one being in college and one having graduated. And if that’s not enough, we’ve got Jarrett reappearing in Jess’ life and my god, it just gets better and better! This is a love triangle that I’m incredibly curious to explore!
Ashlei & Brandon. I love Ashlei and she’s such a badass with her new job and her pole dancing. While I loved her with Brandon, I also felt like she was holding onto that relationship too much. A part of me was hoping that she’d go on to find someone new and start something new. However, she showed Brandon what he was missing and made him work for it, so that made it better.
As always the sisters of KKB have the best relationship. I love how they’re always so supportive and understanding and there for each other through everything. I’m going to miss this group when they all graduate and Kandi finishes the series! And if you didn’t know, there’s one last book in this series and guys given that it’s Kandi, it’s going to be explosive.
Thanks to Kandi Steiner & Valentine PR for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
