Blurb: Sex talk is my job. I’m an influencer. I run a popular blog where I give all kinds of dating tips, and girls all over the world thank me for helping them with their love lives.

I wish I could follow my own advice because my love life is totally dead. I just drunk texted my ex-boyfriend… except, I didn’t. That text ended up going to someone else.

Oops.

This new relationship is almost picture-perfect, just like my online life. I guess I give good…text.
He doesn’t have to put up with my colorful personality–as my hot next-door neighbor describes me. Or my messy schedule.
This long-distance relationship is the best thing that’s happened to me and I plan to keep it that way.

Until we agree to meet up, and I’m freaking out.
When he meets the real me, will he hate me forever?
Or will we be one day telling our grandkids about that wrong text, right love?

Review:

“Wrong Text, Right Love” tells the story of a social media influencer who is trying to write her next big book and has been given an ultimatum by her publisher, so she moves into this fancy penthouse apartment and happens to be neighbours with a hottie from hell. This book is filled with witty banter, two sassy and intriguing characters and a story that is different from what you expect going in.

Persy “Persephone” Brassard has many job titles and all of them are important. She brings joy to people’s lives with self-help tips and hacks and just ways to make yourself happier. Ford Chadwick is nothing like Persy. He’s a tech genius, billionaire, playboy and everything in between. He’s broody and has never been in love and doesn’t believe in love. She’s looking for her forever and she’s open and fun and bright. Their opposites are what obviously brings them together.

The slow burn in this book will set you on fire. It’s insane how two characters who exchange mostly words and frustrations can make you hot under the collar. It’s lust at first sight, that much you are guaranteed, but it’s also a blossoming friendship and an interesting takedown of other characters that truly impresses you. Plus, this book is not just about love between Persy and Ford, it’s about familial bonds and relationships and love. And it’s so beautifully crafted in a way that I feel only Claudia Burgoa could.

What I really loved about this book was that while the romance element was clearly there and you knew where it was all heading, the build-up between Persy and Ford was perfect. Even when they start texting other people, the way things just develop and grow makes you want your own Persy or Ford.

Persy is a strong, independent, smart, funny, driven woman that you want to be best friends with. Ford is a silent, brooding, smart, stubborn, infuriating man that you want to clobber over the head, but also throw yourself at. And together, they make for an absolutely delicious read that you will not regret.

Thanks to Claudia Burgoa for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
